Benfu Zhu, aged 44, is specialized in the law and practice of international trade and economic cooperation and international investments. With 8 years of consecutive full time academic study in university and 18 years of legal and commercial practice as a lawyer and corporate executive, he qualifies a well-grounded and experienced lawyer.

He majored in both international trade and international commercial law from 1980 to 1988 at University of International Business and Economic and got a master degree of law and a bachelor degree of business. He participated the training program of psychology and technical report writing at University of Southern Florida USA in 1989. He acquired his qualifications as a lawyer through examination in 1993, senior commercialist and economist as certified by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC, Independent Directorship for public listing companies as certified by China Security Regulation Commission and a member of banking commission of ICC China since 2004.

From August 1988 to September 2003, Mr. Zhu had worked for SINOCHEM as a business operator for import and export of goods and for industrial investment projects, section chief, deputy general manager and general manger of various corporate departments, prime seat lawyer and senior in house legal counsel of SINOCHEM. He took offices as corporate secretary, assistant treasurer, in house legal counsel for a Phosphate Mining Company in Florida USA, Managing director and Chairman of the board of SINOCHEM Australian Group. His legal practice and commercial experience has covered areas of international trade, international financial leasing, trust and investments, international investment projects of industries, commerce and mining and other cooperative projects between Chinese and foreign investors, settlement of debts and credits and corporate reorganization etc. For and on behalf of domestic and foreign clients he has successfully concluded many overseas investment projects, joint venture projects, international financial leasing projects, set up many foreign invested companies, successfully settled financial and commercial debts and credits in several billions RMB, liquidated and wound up dozens of companies around the world.

In his legal career, he worked in 1986 as internship with Great Wall Foreign Economic Law Firm, became a part time lawyer associated with Beijing Huanzhong Law firm in 1995 and B&J Partners Law Firm in 1999. He has bocame a full time lawyer since 2003 and is now one of the partners and managing director of B&J Partners Law Firm.

Mr. Zhu provides his legal services combining both commercial and legal solutions to domestic and foreign clients in forms of project advisor, perennial counsel and attorney at law for specific affairs such as litigation and arbitration. His expertise includes laws of business organization, finance, contract, civil procedures, international practices of trade and payments, international conventions and treaties, international trade, international investment and cooperation in other forms, and dispute resolutions.
