Mr. Ge Liu joined Jun He Law Offices as a partner in 1997 and currently practices at the firm’s Beijing Office.

Mr. Liu specializes in international transactions, entertainment, sophisticated litigation and transnational arbitration.

Before Mr. Liu went to the United States in 1986, he was an Assistant Professor at Peking University Law School and a practitioner.? He also worked as general legal counsel for a number of Chinese national corporations and foreign investment enterprises.? After graduation from the University of Florida with his LL.M. in Taxation in 1988, Mr. Liu joined Jenner & Block as a Chinese law consultant.? Mr. Liu participated in a number of international transactions and litigations for both American and Chinese clients at the firm.
Since Mr. Liu joined Jun He, he has represented a number of multinational corporations on their matters of joint ventures and WOFEs, EPC projects, commercial loans, M&A, arbitrations and litigations, including several cases before the China Supreme Court.? Mr. Liu headed a team working on all legal matters of The Three Tenors Forbidden City Concert in 2001 and Rolling Stone Licks World Tour - China in 2003.
Mr. Liu wrote a number of academic articles in China, and co-authored Chinese Economic Law, a legal textbook published by Peking University Press.? He is also a co-translator of the Chinese version of International Contracts, published by the Parker School of Comparative Law of Columbia University in 1981.? Mr. Liu is a co-author of International Commercial Arbitration in China: History, New Development, and Current Practice, 28 The John Marshall Law Review 539 (1995).
